So right now, I am super conscious about protecting my skin from the sun. I realized that when I get older, my skin will show all the damage that I exposed it to ignorantly. But I am no longer ignorant because I have liberated myself and want to liberate others. One of the major ways to damage your healthy gorgeous skin is by exposing it to the sun. We cannot avoid the sun, but we can take steps to prevent sun damage. Here are my useful tips to you:
- Eat fruits and vegies! It really helps. I have been eating a carrot and a cucumber everyday. Here is a list of foods to eat that I got from http://naturalcounselor.com
bright-colored fruits and vegetables, such as carrots, squash, broccoli, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, kale, collards, cantaloupe, peaches, apricots, watermelon, berries to get more Vitamin A;
oranges, lime, kiwi, green peppers, broccoli, green leafy vegetables, berries, tomatoes to get more vitamin C;
walnuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green leafy vegetables, barley, millet to get more vitamin E;
incorporate more lycopene rich foods, such as cooked tomatoes, watermelon, papaya, apricots to protect our skin from sun damage - Wear sunblock of at least 15 spf. If I had the money right now, I would get an spf 100. Neutrogena has one called Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 100+ with Helioplex.
- Cover your body as much as possible! It is hard, especially during summer but try your best. If you have an spf then you will be fine
