Japanese and Korean Skin Routine

Image From cosmetic-makeovers.com

Japanese and Korean Skin Routine
In America, we have a 3 step skin routine. But in Japan and Korea, they have a 5 step skin routine that keeps their skin flawless. Courtesy of K-Popped.com!

  1. Double Cleansing
  2. Massage and Mask
  3. Tone
  4. Essence/serum
  5. Moisturize

DOUBLE CLEANSING:
- Use makeup remover and a cleanser before you go to bed. That is the double cleanse.

MASSAGE AND MASK:
- Use a cream or a gentle scrub. Do this 2 - 3 days a week. If you have acne or oily skin, this will agitate your skin so do this occasionally. On days that you do not massage your face with a cream, apply a mask. Look for a clarifying mask or a moisture mask.

TONE:
- A toner removes dead skin off of your face.

ESSENCE/SERUM:
- "Essence or serums are very light, liquid concentrated treatments to correct skin problems. Essence is easier absorbed and penetrates deep into your skin, better than regular moisturizers. For best results, wait 5 minutes after applying serums before applying your moisturizer to allow maximum absorption. Because of their concentrated affects, serums are generally more expensive." - K-popped

MOISTURIZE:
- Get a moisturizer suitable for your skin type.
