Need A New Look?

YES! I am embarrassed that I have ever wore that horrible outfit! The uber tight skinny jeans, the unseen black sneaker, and the hideous polyester jacket thing. The only thing working is the light pastel pink which complements my skin tone. I am ashamed that I was oh so unfashionable! But over the years, I have learned my lesson. I am now on the Nordstrom BP Fashion Board learning about fashion, merchandising, and trends. Just like I was then, I now need a new look. Not because I am unfashionable, but because I am in a new transition in my life. I will be beginning my acting career, learning on the Fashion Board, and starting a new school. Why should I or anyone be held back in the past by their awful wardrobe? We all have those pieces which we despise whenever we look at them. I most certainly do. Then when we want to go shopping, we may want to buy an up to date lounge pant but then remember those tacky sweats that we wear at home. So, we skip the nice lounge pant just to be content with the sweats. What a shame! Just as I am going through this transition phase, I will help guide you through the steps that I am taking to restart my look to the new year! Good luck!

How To Get A New Look

1. Declutter your life!
When I say declutter, I am talking about tossing out any items that makes you want to throw up! Any item in your wardrobe that is made of an awful material, faded out, doesn't fit right, torn, older than two years old (there can be SOME exceptions to this such as a any classic piece of clothing), or just plain ugly. FYI, I just donated my old wardrobe to Goodwill. In order to move on, you need to free your life from any hindrances.
2. Discover yourself!
I love adding the exclamation points because it is oh so exciting! After you declutter you wardrobe, you must find yourself. If you don't find yourself, you wont know what you want. Be with yourself and reevaluate what you want in life, who you want to become, and the types of clothes you want to purchase that will help you achieve these goals. For example, I want to be successful in whatever I end up doing with my life, I want to become even more feminine and polite, and the clothes that will help me achieve my goals include items made of soft materials and colors along with purchasing skirts and dresses that are not too short.
3. Lingerie!
We worked internally, now we work our way out. Start with new lingerie! It is so fun going lingerie shopping! You should feel good with the new you. Why not splurge on new panties and bras!!! Besides, you know you need new undergarments. Do it now! Lingerie is apart of your wardrobe and Victoria Secret is having a SALE!!!
4. Go get new lounge wear!
Even when you are at home, you need to look good. You hopefully got rid of those awful sweats in exchange for cute yoga pants! Lounge wear is just as important as your wardrobe and you need to keep it up to date.
5. New Outfits!!!
After all those steps, you finally get to do the real shopping. With your reevaluated self, you can make better decisions with your purchases. Go for good quality, great fit, and nice color. Spend more money on classic items that will never go out of style and less on trends. If I can do it so can you! Good luck!!!
